Talented artist and muralist Bonnie Lecat was recently commissioned to do a restoration of restaurant ceiling which sustained water damage. We we able to recreate the original design very closely, and she duplicated the original colors, and fauxed the wood graining. We've worked with Bonnie before and she always does a great job!

...You really did a great job with these stencils. My client was thrilled, too. The finished mural fit EXACTLY! It was only 1/8 of an inch off at it's largest point. Thanks for your precision and your help. We make a good team:)

| Here is the original damaged ceiling. Notice the speaker grille also |
We took Bonnie's images and dimensions and reproduced the design very closely, including the smaller connecting motifs. Bonnie used tape for the straight edges, which is often just as easy as using a mask. |
Here is the SayWhat? stencil mask placed on the surface. She painted these in the studio, which is much easier than trying to do it in place on a ceiling. |

| Above: Sheri used 16-18" square limestone travertine floor tiles as a 'canvas' to paint her art pieces shown here; the honed limestone has a perfect tooth for painting. She used some readily available historical designs cut from our SayWhat? adhesive masking film, and stenciled with Proceed Slow Drying Acrylics. Real gold leaf was adhered to the stone on the dragon and bird set with Proceed Crackle Size and was then sealed. We had metal frames cut to size, which perfectly accommodated the tiles. |

| Resources: Custom cut Stencil masks available from SayWhat? Many styles are available, and can be custom sized to fit almost any space, please contact us. Proceed Slow Dry Acrylics available from The Mad Stencilist. Travertine Limestone: these were seconds from a local tile store. Small chips made them unsuitable for flooring, but they work perfectly well re-purposed for this application. Metal Frames from warehouseframers.com |
